Editor and Writing Instructor

I began my editing career in 2009 when I became managing editor of Harvard Review. Since 2013 I have taught courses in Academic Writing and Business Rhetoric at the Harvard Extension School, where I also co-teach an editing class with Christina Thompson. In my courses, I combine my knowledge of grammar, my interest in clear communication (both written and visual), and my practical editorial experience to give students concrete advice for improving their writing. As an editor and as a teacher, I have a particular interest in working with writers whose first language is not English. In addition to teaching English language classes, I have also run workshops on translation and have edited online translation features for Harvard Review.
